Dear Parishioners,

We are people who want to know the latest news and in the quickest way possible and it is a fact, that we are deluged by all kinds of news from all parts of the world almost instantly. Sometimes with all this overwhelming and at times stultifying news, we get something that strikes us; some new revelation that we haven't heard or remembered from many years ago.

Prior to the coming of Jesus, God did reveal himself in many ways especially through the prophets. As St. Paul said: “In these last days, He has revealed himself to us.” Today, the Church celebrates a special feast which we call the Epiphany, that is, the revelation of the Son of God made man to the non - Jewish people, that is, to the Gentiles - to all of us. We, 2000 years after Jesus revealed himself to the Wise Men guided by the star, continue to have Jesus revealing himself to us through the Scriptures and the Church. As members of this Church which Jesus Christ founded, we have been given the mission of revealing the Good News of salvation that Jesus gave, by sharing it with all those with whom we come in contact in our daily life.

You could invite some of your fellow workers or friends to come with you to Mass on Sundays. You could, as would be normal, ask your friends what they did for Christmas, and you in turn, could say you went to the church and relived again the mystery of the love of God with the birth of Jesus.
